Hi everyone, I am aiming to update the servers asap to start running the v1.5 engine alongside the existing one.
This is the first step in launching 1.5, after this I will be submitting the new version to the stores so it will just be a matter of how long it takes to get approved.
- The game event feed will no longer work! It has been removed in the new version so it will stop working, this is pretty minor as it does not impact any gameplay.
- Your corporations icon will change, this is because they have also been removed and replaced in v1.5 so everyone will see the same icon.
- Corporation outposts will stop generating chips! This is to make it fair for people who move to the new version first and cant fight in the old sectors, it also has to happen due to some changes in the chip generation.
- A snapshot of all the corporation outposts will be taken and every corporation that has an outpost will be assigned one in the new regions, so you dont lose anything!
- Some features are toggled off, such as challenges, new corporation ranks. This is because they are not compatable with the pre 1.5 code, they will be turned on once the old version is shut down.
- You will not be able to fight outposts in the new regions right away, this is to keep it fair because not everyone will have the new version as the app stores dont release at the same time.
- Outposts in the new regions wont generate chips, again this will be turned on once all the stores have 1.5 available.
- All the old code will be shut down, and the remaining new 1.5 features will be toggled on.
- Outposts in the new regions will be open to attack and will start generating chips.
- Nothing will be lost in this update, the only thing being removed are the current corporation outposts, but as mentioned above, if you have one when the server update happens then you will be given one in the new regions.
- There might be a few strange things happen during the update process, I have tried to make sure it is as smooth as possible, but this is a massive change to so much code and I might have missed something. So please bear with me if something goes wrong, I will be watching everything like a hawk!
