Update News 2!
Hi all, so I have been thinking and chatting about the next update and taking on board what people want I'm going to push this update back a week and then there will also be:
5 new ships - 1 Trader, 4 Player ships.
Chat groups - Custom chat groups you can join with in-game commands.
Big Trade Fleets - Featuring the new Trader ship these fleets carry extra Helium3 or Oxilium.
This should also mean less server reboots.
This update will also include all the stuff from the last patch notes:
New Oxilium resource - Used for crafting legendary parts/cores.
M6 ships - Upgraded using legendary parts.
Skills - Fleets have a maximum level ( enough for 3 full Titans ) once over this level they earn skill points that can be used to improve all ships/fleets.
Scrapping - Scraping weapons/fittings from your inventory.
Core Outposts - New sectors in Beta/Gamma with larger more powerful Outposts, these outposts generate more resources, are stronger, have longer shields and also spawn a defensive fleet that will engage and war targets warping in.
Invites - Updated invite system that will reward you for inviting new players.
Notifications - Improved push notifications with nice images.
New Raids - Night raven raid sectors added to a rotation of timed sectors.
Fixes - Ships overlapping and other minor fixes.
Along with some other balancing I am also making some changes to the in game timers.
Currently some of the timers are very long ( legendary m3 crafting, mk5 ship research ), I am adjusting these to be a lot shorter and also adjusting the credit cost to match.
So the credit cost to speed up wont change much, but the timers will be reduced. This will help with players who are 100% free and have spent all their free credits with progress as they wont have to wait nearly as long.
Research, crafting, upgrading your station will all get changes. The only timers I have not changed are repair timers, I will look at them in the future.
This will come in when everyone has the new update.
